I hope everyone had a good week!
Todays voting incentive is a sketch of Belvidier in his prime!
Have a great weekend and be safe!

Wow, the change in demeanor and deference shown is amazing. Loving this page and comic as a whole.
Belvidier used to be in the Cabal then?
Now that’s interesting. He got out.
Actually in a previous chapter, Severain talked about creating an empire that rivaled The Demon Overlord. So, the Demon Overlord predates the Cabal.
I see. This is getting more and more interesting.
I suspect HE RAN THE CABAL
I have been looking forward to this reveal for quite a while. And I do like how in the last panel Belvidier is once again acting like nothing has happened. 😀
Well, so far, at least in this context, nothing has happened.
ooohh.. backstory hint.
You can see what Belvidier looked like as the Demon Overlord if you vote this week. 😀
Denon…….. overlord…….
You had my interest. Now you have my ATTENTION
A great job it is for a leporid[0], this Demon Overlord bit.
[0] the family encompassing rabbits and hares, transcending the rabbitists/bunnyists conflict;
Not very demonic looking. Though maybe he’s one of the pretty ones. X)
Ah.. this reveal very much reminds me of an instant where one of my characters was in a similar situation – where her true nature must not be known or else bad things might happen. There’s a reason why others of her kin are regarded as vengeful spirits by the general populace – even though she and others like her are still very much mortal.
I had previously referred to Belvidier as a Killer Rabbit that not even the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch could stop. It would seem that he’s even more than just a killer rabbit. 😉
Say it with me now.. He is.. One hell of a butler!
Are we sure his name isn’t really Sebastian? He’s starting to look like a Sebastian to me.
Sebastian?
As in the ‘Family Affair’?
wow!!! That’s a few years ago.
With Belvidiers demeanor and all, I was thinking more along the lines of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg
Hmmm. Note to self, the soundtrack to the original ‘Conan: The Barbarian’ was most appropriate to today’s page…
In panel four, the look of utter terror in his face should give everyone a basic idea of how seriously dangerous a person Belvidier was and STILL IS. Which makes me wonder just in how much trouble could the remaining Cabal be in if Belvidier and any of his past associates were to focus their attention to?
Belvidier should not have been the Demon Overlord.
Belvidier should have been Butler to the Demon Overlord. The story would flow better…
This would work only on the condition that he be the actual DO, with the apparent DO a mere puppet.
He never confirmed that he was the Demon Overlord. Just that he intended to make sure the Demon Overlord stayed dead.
Belvidier may know a way to bring the the Demon Overlord back and he’s making sure that no one learns it.
Bunny Butler made a dude squeal with just a fork, imagine what he could do with powers beyond the Cabal and Maxxie.
If I didn’t love Belvidier before, I am 1000% sure I do now!
Well to quote a line from Las Lindas “Once you go bunny you never go back.”
Why do I have a feeling this is a massive Checkov’s Gun and that the Demon Overlord won’t stay “dead?”
because we now have more pieces to a rather straight-forward puzzle.
Did you have this planned out from the start? Or did you create this backstory retroactively?
As a example. If memory serves, the whole thing with her half brother was planned out while still two or three chapters before that point. So certain things have been set for quite a while before they ever show up on a page. Now, was it planned from the start? I can’t say. It was obvious something was up when the witch hunter showed up.
When you read the next page, let me know what you think the case was? 😀
Okay, this isn’t about the comic, but I don’t have a twitter so…
You should totally draw Evee shivving the Grubhub theif.
