While I think Fenrir clearly deserves it, talking it out would have been te better option. Now he’s definitly gonna attempt to turn them in, or at least give up information, for the money.
If they had talked, they could, at the worst, end up arguing and shouting, but probably not get him to betray them. By hiting and turning away from the group, we’re now just waiting for Fenrir to have something in common with Judas.
It’s about time too. Venir was pushing it too far. Twas only a matter of time before Hero would hear it and do something. However, if Venir was actually with them from the start, then he would’ve known what Hero and Evon would’ve been in for but right now, he was just the epitomy of being a dick.
I don’t think this is the last time we’ll see him though. Hope the next time he has more sense.
I kind of agree with Jerohan. By not even talking it out, Venir’s going to feel even more betrayed by his “best friend”. He _may_ try to get Evon caught without harm to Hero (for all the good it’ll do), but he’s definitely going to try something.
At least he’s not trying to take Evon now. That could’ve gotten him skewered.
does Venir not realize who Hero is? like, story line question here.. just a traveling/adventuring buddy, or does he know and think Hero is still ‘playing adventurer’ as his fiance would put it..
My guess is he doesn’t know that Hero is a lord.
Refer a few pages back when he insisted that turning her in would make them both enough money to be set for life.
Hero did say that left after killing a bunch of nobles, also I think that if Venir would have known that Hero was a lord that Venir would try to get some of Lord Dent’s money… though I could be wrong and Venir could have known about Hero’s past. But I doubt Hero would have mentioned it to Venir… I’m thinking that while he was traveling with Venir it was a past that Hero wanted to forget. Until Evon showed up. 🙂
Yep. Saw this coming.
This. was. Inevitable.

Best Hero doing the smacking around then Evon…. Remember the last time she got all spun up in a situation.
Yup. Just yup. No cool heads, here.

Well so far this has gone better than expected, no one’s dead yet.
