The villains seem to be coming out of the woodwork, don’t they?
One thing we wanted to do with this comic was to give a wide range of villains and to make sure that they were different and to make sure that they could be likable and unlikable in their own way.
So, riddle me this, who’s your favorite villain and why? (I may do an incentive next week of the most popular one ;-))
My favorite villian is actually a team. Traveller and Lanna. Or, as I like to think of them, the Ozzie and Harriet of evil. π
It might be a bit cliche, but I’d have to go with Ferneris. While he is no doubt evil, there is a certain sophistication and urbane air that he maintains…he WILL kill you, and horribly, but there’s no reason not to be civil about it. Kind of like Count Roogan…or Michael Eisner, back when I used to work for Disney.
Can see Ferneris to temporarily join with Hero and Evon to sort these guys out for some reason.
Just caught up after being away, gotta say im really liking where this plotline is going, bravo Mrs Brittany and Mr Wax. Also with this particular annal, im getting a little bit of a resident evil afterlife vibe, if the mad scientist guy whose name I can’t remember is going to try and clone Evon, just a though.
You’re thinking of Dr. William Birkin, mad scientist and raving egomaniac, though he does make a good villain.
Legune seems to be playing a dangerous game himself. He mentioned the project to Sevarian, so there could be doubts there.
Hmm. That’s a tough one. Of the few villains who have really gotten decent screen-time, they all have their own points of interest.
Ferneris is still the top in my book, as the sort of polite-and-deep villain whom you just know has more going on under the surface than is first apparent. Probably will have further motivations and developments that make him more of a “proantagonist”.
Maximus is obviously the kind of villain you just love to hate, and you gotta have at least one of those.
Legune is the creepy mad-scientist with his own plans for grandeur, constantly underestimated and under-appreciated by his superiors. You just know he’s going to come up with something awesome.
And, of course, can’t forget the more obvious “hot goth dominatrix” in Lanna. π
I can’t say I like any of the villains.
If I have to choose, though…
Ferneris’ girlfriend/cohort. If just because she hasn’t personally caused any trouble for the heroes. Yet.
usually mass production=low quality and easliy broken
Also, old-fashioned breeding is much more fun than cloning.
I think my favourite 3 (sorry, can’t pick just one! π ) Are Sevarian, Ferneris, and Lanna. Sevarian because he’s still very mysterious, (and being head of the cabal, I assume powerful); Ferneris, because I really enjoy villains who are calm and controlled like he appears to be), and Lanna because she managed to stick it to Hero and Evon for a bit- she seem pretty deadly! I only discovered this comic yesterday, and I’ve enjoyed it so much! Thank you, Ms Shephard and Mr. Wax!
