Wait… Does Hero not know about Belvidier’s previous life or is he just being slow on the uptake here? If nothing else, I would’ve thought Belvidier would’ve filled in the blanks in response to Feneris’ arrival.
As far as I recall, Belvidier has never revealed his past to Hero, or anyone else in the castle.
Belvidere wants his past to remain there.
I guess he needs to walk Hero through all the lore to this point. So, “In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened…”
Don’t forget 400 years. Unless your a history major I’d imagine you wouldn’t know that. And I think details were hidden to keep wannabes from trying to duplicate the guy.
When all the ‘adventuring’ is done, our trio are going to have a very long conversation with Belvidier. Though I get the feeling that many questions will not get quite the answers they are expecting or wanting.
