Volume Five, Chapter Twenty-Three, Page 979
Here’s the final page of chapter 23! I hope you all enjoyed the fun reveals that happened throughout the chapter!
With the end of this latest chapter I’ll be taking a small break the play catch up on everything else I’m doing. Evon will return November 11th!

It springs to mind, how often have we seen children of mixed-species parents in this world? I was going to say that Evon doesn’t look very wolfy, but suddenly I wonder if that even matters.
Like if the suspicions about Freya being Belvie’s daughter are legit. Rabbit and mouse. Maybe in this world, the mother sets the appearance?
not necessarily, if you remember Corrin’s mom is a fox and his father is a bear, and he was born a bear. I think its just a 50/50 chance of being a species of one of the parents.
Bri Shepard has explained that the sex of the child determines the species. If it’s a boy, then he takes after his father, and vice versa with the mother/daughter.
Ah, well there we go, then. That explains that.
Finally drop for the chapter. 😀
HAH! That’s the same look Evee had on her face when Belvidier pulled a Batman!!
More like his mind won’t be focused after that.
Now if we were going to entertain some extreme plot twists, we might get Belvidier rejecting Evee’s advances because “I’m your father — indirectly.”
Are you my father?
Was afeared this The End end…
Well the artist never really explained how the different species thing works but if i had to take a guess the kid takes on the mothers species.
She explained in a Patreon post, that boys are born the father’s species and girls are born the mother’s species the vast majority of time. Though there are rare genetic oddities were a child is born the species of their opposite gender parent. Like Evee’s furture son for example who was unusually born a bear like his mother but has his father’s fur coloring.
If he is her farther then at least Evon can take comfort that she didn’t commit that accidental incest.
