..and when I get back from shopping for new clothes, if you don’t have at least an ‘Evon, you look nice in that’ for me, I’ll be giving you back this dagger. And you wont like it.
“No, you’re not a child and that only adds to the problem. Cities are rife with criminals an opportunists, and people who are on their own can seem to be easy targets. But you’re a woman, and some see women and children as potential property, particularly when they’re attractive. I don’t doubt your ability to defend yourself, but the city guard doesn’t like victims any more than attackers, and staying together reduces the chance of an incident.”
That should have been discussed before reaching the city.
He’s an experienced adventurer. He should know the problems that might be encountered. The fact that it would flatter her would be an unintended (to him) bonus.
I realized that few minutes after I posted that. Except for the fact that non carrying weapon openly could mean that she is capable to get rid of “problems” without the need for weapons.
You have to allow for the “environment.” (Also behavior.) Those walking unarmed and confidently in dangerous areas probably have something you can’t see (even if it’s only ignorance or stupidity). In safe areas, those displaying weapons may be braggarts instead of authorities.
I need help i have been trying for months to find a web-comis i used to read, i had moved and lost 90% of bookmarks and other data on my computer and i cant remember the name of the comic, i know it had racing in it and the racers rode different creatures, one of the riders rode a purple gargoyle i think was named grey. there was also a griffin that another rider rode in the races. I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me the name of the comic.
I find it interesting that their psychological aftermath is being paid so little attention to with the scene progressing. You can tell it’s made them both tense though Hero seems to be keeping more of a grip on it.

This looks like the setup for another classic “What could possibly go wrong?” situation where everything DOES go wrong!
Really looking forward to this!
Hero, you’re handling this wrong. Try:

Oh, really? You actually that Hero would be that wise?
He has definitely he can be very clueless when it comes to his relationship with her. (and she can too)

He may be that wise in the dangers of a city, just not wise enough to know how to express that to the girl, without pissing her off.
She is a sorcerer, why would she need a sword when she can burn anyone… Oh wait, sword is definitely good idea (and safer for bystanders).
Openly carrying a weapon would be a signal to others that she is not to be trifled with. It’s well that she take a blade along with her.
I realized that few minutes after I posted that. Except for the fact that non carrying weapon openly could mean that she is capable to get rid of “problems” without the need for weapons.
one ‘small’ problem with that…
there are lots of others walking around not carrying weapons and THEY are helpless. Evon without a weapon would likely be grouped with them.

Hey, at least he made sure she had protection.
Is it just me, or is Hero starting be a giant prat?

thank you so much thats it ^_^
Panel six: “Seriously? You are so concerned for me you are giving me your toothpick?”
Just noticed how much larger Hero is to Evon. His hand width is pretty much the length of the sheath, hers is only half.
Much like when Bilbo gets Sting in “The Hobbit” (the book). It’s only an elven dagger, but for a hobbit it makes a serviceable short sword.
Evon looks alot like her clone in that last panel, if she’s not careful Hero won’t be able to tell them apart if she keeps that up.

Yeah, when anyone young say’s that they’re not a child. Then walks way after. Clearly, there’s no child there… Because they just stormed off.
