As I look at the panel again, I also see it as Belvidier’s equivalent reaction to Hero that Hero gave him in the second panel. More or less a bit of tit for tat.
I don’t think the comic has really touched on what happened to Hero’s parents at all, but this really feels like a dynamic of Hero having lost them young and Belvidier having taken on the role of raising Hero in a surrogate father role, even though their different social positions keeps either of them from acknowledging it openly.
You know, Belvider may have and do the best for his Lord. But I am also absolutely certain that if that lord got on Belviders’ ‘bad’ side, he would never let his Lord hear the end of it.
I have never seen an expression that so clearly said “Don’t make me hit you. Sir” as Belvidier’s next-to-last panel.
Actually, I like Hero’s look of “Don’t give me that” in the second panel. But, you’re right about Belvidier’s look, too. LOL.

Panel 9: “Gettin’ real tired of your shit, Master Dent.”
Good on you, Belvie, for setting him straight.
no, no. “Gettinโ real tired of your shit, MY LORD.”
I was trying to play off of the Alfred/Wayne meme, but you’re right, that is better for this situation. X)
Panel 9: Lie to yourself, my lord, but don’t lie to me.
Hero, you of all no not to try to lie to Bevlvidier.
It is those closest to us that can communicate most strongly with just a look.
And I’d say Hero wants Belvidier’s approval.

Looking forward to seeing panel nine in all it’s glory ๐
Yup, knew it was worth the wait ๐
Even in it’s sketchy state, I am loving the dialogue in this one!
Haha the look Belvidier is giving second to last panel seem like he’s sayn ‘Bitch, please’ lol

Outstanding!
Expressions, statements, situation.
Sometimes you don’t need words, when there is trust between those involved.
Thank you Reever!! Lol..
A little disappointed Bel didn’t have insight on Evon’s dream, though~
You’re welcome I guess? O.o
