Venir was kind’ve an asshole in the beginning, but he still didn’t deserve this. Here’s hoping that Hero can stop him without having to stop him permanently, as Venir was a friend of his once and I’m sure Hero would be a little sad about it.
As a side note to Brit and Mr. Wax, are you two planning anything special for Halloween? Not necessarily comic-wise, just in general.
I have no plans for Halloween. I usually end up working that day for some reason. If not, then I’ll probably sit around reading or watching old movies.
It’s a shame that you have to work on Halloween, but maybe you’ll be able to enjoy the workplace décor? And watching old movies sounds like fun, actually, what kind of movies did you have in mind?
Probably the Margaret Rutherford’s Miss Marple movies from the early sixties or the Thin Man movies from the 1930s with William Powell and Myrna Loy. Hey, I did say *old* movies.
Man, you weren’t kidding, were ya. Although I have been wanting to watch The Forbidden Planet with Leslie Nielson for a while, but that’s just from the 50’s (just looked it up, and it’s from ’56), as is The Thing From Another World (colloquially known simply as ‘The Thing’) which is from ’51, ‘Them’ which was from ’54 and ‘It! The Terror from Beyond Space’ which was from ’58. The 30’s are a bit too far back for me. ^^
~nods~ Certainly. With the all the tech, planetscapes (or planetscape in this case) and even the uniform designs, you can definitely see the resemblance. You can also see the resemblance to the series Lost in Space, especially since Robbie the Robot was also used in that.
They certainly don’t make movies like they used to, anymore. CGI is a good thing, of course, but only when used in moderation. Me, I’ve always been more a fan of practical effects.
I have cat ears, myself. I got a pair of “Reactive Nekomimi ears” that have a clip that attaches to your left ear, and a little sensor that goes on your forehead (it looks kinda like a headset mic), and the ears move and react based on muscle movement in your head and electrical impulses. They drain batteries like a cheap CD Walkman, though, so I’ve only used them once. Went though an entire 18 pack of AAA batteries over the course of the three days I was at Naka-Kon back in March.
As for what I’ll be doing for the actual day, probably just watching Halloween-themed Anime and munching on some Pocky. ^^

I do love a good classic Sci-Fi movie, though!
Forbidden Planet is a good one. You can really see how it influenced the original Star Trek.

No real plans for me, either. I work that day, but I did buy some cat ears to wear at my desk if that counts for anything 🙂
I’m going to wear the Tom Baker scarf you sent me and a fedora. 😀 It’s about as much of a costume I can get away with my job.

Time for a wrestling match! ;3
Welp….that went sideways….
A few good blows to the noggin may sort him out! Just a good idea in general, here, really.
So is Hero protecting Evon or Venir?
Yes
Hero used hug, it wasn´t superefectitve.
