I hope everyone stayed safe this week!
Todays vote incentive is the second 69 sketch between Evon and Evee I did in celebration of reaching 69 members on Patreon a couple of months ago! (NSFW!!)
Page 7 of Sister Act will be available on Saturday for Patreon members of the Adult Lodge and higher!
Have a good weekend and take care of yourselves!
Audience: collective “awwwwww” 🙁
I did actually say “Aww” out loud when I saw that she hadn’t pounded him after all. ; )
He really shouldn’t of A. Under estimated her. And B. threatened Hero. also he been standing on her last nerve for awhile now. He finally pissed her off past the point of no return. Now he’s running for his life.
Run, rabbit. Run!
Aw, I was hoping she was gonna cave his skull in
Trust me. You’re not alone.
While I was hoping she’d just bashed his noggin in, I am still thrilled with Evon’s badassness.
I think all of us are thinking that we should never, EVER piss off Evon unless we don’t want to live anymore.
Going back to the previous incidences where she’s tapped into her Focus powers, it seems to me that she’s a good deal more enraged this time around, which is not surprising.
I’m wondering if this crucible that she’s gone through will be the one where she finally learns to consciously tap into her powers.
As the old say goes “PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT”. And our dear Evon has learned far more and grown in abilities since the beginning of this story. Though it is a given she does not have the level of experience as those in the Cabal. Evon is now at a level that is a far greater threat then the Cabal can easily handle. To say it best:
LET THE CARNAGE BEGIN!!!!
At this point, she doesn’t really need a whole lot of ‘control’ or fitness, just raw power directed at target for boom booms. She can worry about power level control and actually focused spells for something other than explody effects later.
We should never, without extreme provocation, disrespect anyone[0], especially to the degree to which Sevarian and his cronies disrespected Evon. and OhByTheWay, that’s one of the more delightful vote baits you’ve posted.
[0] especially someone with Evon’s latent powers – there abide dragons. He asked fer it!
Ooo, ice-bolt right up the exhaust port!
So you weren’t willing to let him take the Big Hit, like God intended…..
No “G” rating is worth this terrible, terrible disappointment.
He will get his in due time. His fate has most likely already been written given how much planning ahead has been done for the story. It might just take a few pages. Besides, seeing him run for his life is quite satisfying given what he has done.
Thing is I think he’s running for the staff and hoping he can subdue her with it because he doesn’t want to kill her or he loses his power. So I’m hoping one of the bolts destroys the staff and the machine and he gets caught in the explosion
Lucky little frigger…Can’t keep dodging forever! Guess Freya is giving Hero a harder time than we hoped. Watch Sevi get to the door and Hero is standing there.
Is it just me, or is the perspective off? Severin is jumping to Evon’s left in the first panel, yet she’s shooting her magic to her right in the third panel, and in the fourth we see Severin suddenly running away from the aforementioned right-pointing bolts of energy. How did he get there in so short a time? Sure, you could say he ran behind her, but that doesn’t make sense. In his desperation to get away, he runs toward her, just to run behind her and run away from her again?
The door might have been on the other side of evon from the direction he initially slid, so yeah, to get out of the room, he may have needed to run behind her.
That might be the case, but the comic should’ve showed that. Maybe show her turning to follow him, firing at him as he ran around her to get to the door. I’m just saying it’s a little confusing laid out like this, just like the comic a few pages back showed her punching him with her right fist, but his head turned to the right with the punch.
These are just minor gripes, of course, but it still needles me a bit when I see them. Brit may have taken a break when paneling this out, so when she went back to finish she changed the directions a bit and didn’t catch it. Or she could’ve been like me, and had all the details in her head (like you suggested, him needing to go around her to get to the door) but didn’t get them down on paper.
Either way these are just really minor things, in an otherwise awesome comic.
How many others here hopes he runs out of the room right into Hero’s sword or Evee. Raise your hands or sound off. (the sword for me.)
I would be more amused if Evon and Evee were to come to a truce, and not try to kill each other. perhaps this will stop the Cabal from bothering each of them.
