Well, it looks like the bad guys have gained a upper hand by the looks of things. But Evee has yet to make her appearance still. Which could be the one ton monkey wrench hitting the delicate swiss watch works.
Unfortunately, this was the likely result of the tactical error they made in the final panel of the previous page, of putting themselves both in front of Sevarian at the same time. Evon should have stayed behind him and kept hammering on him (or magic-blasting him) from there, while Hero pressed the attack from the front, forcing Sevarian to keep his attention divided between them. By standing together, they allowed him to unleash a single attack on both of them without worrying about a counterattack from behind.
Of course, like you say, Evee has yet to make her appearance. Hopefully she has a better grasp of the tactical value of forcing your enemy to divide their attention between what’s in front of them and what’s behind them…
This is a man that needs several more hits to the head.
He might need hitting elsewhere, he’s taken several blows to the head without effect.
Depends on how many hits. I’m thinking keep hitting until his head is the consistency of chunky salsa.
Well, it’s never a good sign when you slam into things, especially when you didn’t want to. Or had some supernatural help doing so.
BTW, is that green color and Evon’s gasp a bad thing?
Sooo, you just decided that it would be a good idea to hurt the girlfriend of the pissed-off dude with a sword that can cut through magic?
Let me guess, brain went on vacation and arrogance decided to sit in for a bit?
Evon has been cyan-ized!
LOL, the iconic villain’s “ENOUGH”. Heh, no, it’s not enough. Never enough until the bad guy is pushing up daisies. Severian is about as bad as they get with no redemption possible. Y’know, one thing that always annoyed me about Star Wars and similar tropes is that redemption/forgive and forget for Darth Vader and his ilk is a thing. Really? These guys made Hitler, Mao and Stalin look like pikers. They blew up entire WORLDS with billions of inhabitants. Forgive evil on that level? No. Just no. I don’t care if he is your daddy.
Vader didn’t do that, Palps did!
