Here’s a lesson for you, Mr./Mrs./Ms. Dis:
Too is used in cases of extremes and similarity, ie, I am going, too!(I am going also!) and you have gone too far!
To is a preposition often used to further specify an adjective, as in the case “too simpleminded to make their own decisions”
In the future, run spellcheck before baselessly trolling or flaming people. At least then you don’t look like a dumbass.
Typical of all stupid teenagers. I do not agree with Lord Severian’s goals but Evon is a ticking time bomb with too much power. She needs someone to control her until she can control herself.
Evon has lost her parents, an evil organizeation wants to use her as a tool for power and abuse her, her step-brother wants to just fuck her and she’s sorting out her feelings for Hero. So yes she’s going to be jealous, remember only Hero has ever treated her truly respectful. But she also needs someone as well to at times bring her back to reality. Plus she is just now starting to understand that her magical powers are a force that’ll need disipline aand practice. We know she’s young, but with all this drama and danger how would you react to it? >:(
I suppose I can understand her grief and I understand her situation, but at her age and the emotional grief is all the reason not to trust her and what does reality have to do with it?
I still find it rather interesting that she has to learn all of this from Felvis, and not Hero himself.
Perhaps this is the wake-up call she needs to finally understand that her self-styled protector actually cares for…
=O.O=
Waitaminit!! A sorceress who has incredible magical powers, with an “underdeveloped” figure, followed on her adventure by a swordsman who has sworn himself to be her protector, with a family blade that means more to him than any amount of money…
=-.-=
Now I’m just waiting for the angsty, overly serious swordsman/shaman, and the bubbly, energetic cleric to arrive and the similarities will be complete…
HA good one!!! But Evon isn’t Lina she’s not nearly as greedy lol. Otherwise yeah i can see similarities between the two. Though Evon hasn’t leveled a town, or village yet
Of course she has to hear it from a 3rd party who can see what is painfully obviouse from the outside. Plus, Hero is to nice and in some cases dense to notice or give it to her strait like that. Plus if Hero tried it she might have taken it the wrong way and gotten defensive. Whereas the outsider is a neutral element with no emotional overtones invoilved in the relationship to muddleup the presentation.
Finally a reality check! She needs to understand that there is a difference between feeling sorry for someone, and loving someone willing to risk his/her life for them. Would someone go through all that hero has been through just because he feels sorry for her? heck no. now that she has had the reality check, maybe now she’ll finally take action!
Question, why does Felvis say he’s thankful that Hero isn’t interested in his sister? Is there some distrust between Felvis and Hero? Also this story is really captivating, I’ve been reading it since the beginning and it’s really a terrific human like interest story, not just action but really an insightful story of the characters and what they go through, great work, thanks
I would guess it would make his and Hero’s relationship complicated. I would also guess that’s because any relationship between Hero and Areth would burn hot and fast and end explosively.
I find it somewhat amusing that everyone here is mocking Evon for her stupidity despite how much all of you like the character, but of course you are all right. Hero is wrong too though. Like Evon, he is choosing his personal feelings over reason . He is a hired bodyguard and nothing more should feel nothing for her.
You said: All children shouldn’t make their own decisions and just shut up, Evon should not be trusted and should be controlled against her will, and that Hero shouldn’t have feelings for Evon (completely missing the point of this page).
I believe the point of this page is for Felvis to point out the facts to Evon and not what she believes, but I will take in to consideration everything you have pointed out.
He’s just a flamer who resents his own childhood. I think he was probably abused as a kid and claims to have “daddy issues” whenever he goes to support groups, or gets called out on his problems.
I thonk he may be the best one to give Evon thos little chat. She respects him (to an extent) as headmaster and he knows Hero well enough to put things in the right perspective to let Evon see the bigger picture. Maybe now she can grow up a bit.
Just ignore Dis. Don’t respond to his posts and oray he has no children of his own. I myself think Evon just needs to grow up a bit and open her eyes. She that for all the flirting areth dies with hero he just ignores her. When she ses that she will realize there’s nothing to worry about.
I don’t know. Dis does not see eye to eye with us so maybe (assuming gender) he can help keep the comments a bit more lively. Might get boring if we all have similar views. Besides Dis seems to like the comic in general, and all fans should be free to comment and discuss. Even if their opinions are vastly different from most of the group. I’ll get off my high horse now.
Finally!
FINALLY
Finally someone injects a little bit of reality into her
Yet she’ll still do the mental gymnastics to deny the obvious.
Or Hero will do it for her.
Thank you reality check!
This is why he runs a school. He knows how to reach kids
Because children are too simple minded too make their own decisions and should all shut up.

Really!? All that ranting and childish name calling over one extra “o”?
You’re hardly one to talk about baselessly trolling or flaming people.

Half-brother, not step.
Oops, my bad.

She also doesn’t have red hair, and she hasn’t fought any Gods as of yet, but I do see the Slayers ref.
Hey! I made that comparison weeks ago. http://evoncomics.com/?p=1700
Don’t sreal my thunder!
Sorry about that. I didn’t even read any of the other posts after making mine.
=^.^=
My bad.

I love the look on Evon’s face here, it’s adorable, and grand that you’ve gotten so great with displaying your emotions
The reading of the riot act, short version.
Evon better open her eyes.
Just sayin’ . . .
Boom! THANK you, Felvis. Sometimes educational authorities are the best at the good ol’ reality check.
Now just let it sink in, Evon! Can we say, “character growth”? Yes, yes we can!
Personally feel the ‘hey’ should have come after the ‘and a bit intolerant’, but that’s just me

After reading you’re comments I’ve decided you’re either a troll or a giant jerk.
I am not a troll nor am I a jerk. What have I said to make you assume this?

You’re aware that Felvis had that exact conversation with Hero the last time they were together, right?
Talk about a clue by four.

Grrr pray not oray.
Just compared evon from this page to first. Contrast never stops amazing me.
Evon looks properly chastised in the last panel.
