Volume Two, Chapter 9, Page 395

I’m trying out a few different color palettes, mostly so that colors on pages will look more consistent next to each other so the next few pages so the next few pages will probably just be colored with no shading while I figure out a color palette.
Todays servant girl cameo provided by DanieB 🙂
teehee~
Yay! Bare bear buns!
Though I do not recommend trying to say that fast 3 times…
Whoa. So, suddenly, she’s absolutely comfortable being in the nude. Quite a change from her previous adventures (and an entire chapter of shyness), and considering what she just went through, you’d think she would want to dress herself in a few layers of duct tape for a few months (or whatever the equivalent of the age).
Either she’s tapped into a reserve of sterner stuff than previously, or she’s just kind of . . . off right now.
She has only been uncomfortable undressing around males.
So, shy and vulnerable around men, exhibitionist around women. *chuckles*
Well, she did grow up with the Cabal, so I suppose nothing should be surprising about that.
You’d think, though, this being all fancy clothes, that they’d at least give her some underwear. Maybe she just doesn’t like the stuff, heh.
Commando Evon.
*Inserts Bear-Ass Comment*
I have to agree with Mr. Casual on this one. Evon seems unnaturally calm standing naked in front of the chambermaid.
I think this simply has to do more with gender: Men tend to be more comfortable around other Men, and vice-versa. On a mental point, we prefer our own gender socially because we will obviously understand each other best. Take into consideration that she reacted opposingly against the butler seeing her in her bra and underwear earlier on. If I remember right, she even pointed out that she would prefer a female maid helping her instead of a male butler. Besides, looking at things such as gyms’ showers shows that we’re clearly fine dealing with the sight of our own gender’s unmentionables: do you think this practice originates extremely far back because it’s a sociably reasonable practice? On such grounds, it’s understandable why she doesn’t cover herself up: there’s no reason to hide it, it’s just the female maid after all.
come to think of it, I might be taking this too far.
Oh well.
Aside from the bare bear… ya know forget it that pun is too predictable. I get the feeling Evon is going to snap at any seccond
Ever had the feeling “I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing that!”? There you go. Evon might get away with requesting a needle and thread…after all, she has plenty of time on her hands (unless Hero is very efficient!) … but she’d probably get a seamstress instead. Which might work better, if said seamstress isn’t horrified by Evon’s idea of practical fashion.
Stone castles are notoriously hard to heat, & drafty. Seacoast means damp as well, with morning & evening “sea effect” breezes adding to draftiness. Floor-length gowns start looking practical. Fur adds another dimension, though; I’ll bet the servant girl has her winter coat already! Unless the whole castle has magical climate-control… which rather depends on the scarcity/abundance/ease of use of magic in general.
When I first looked at this, as I was scrolling down, the scroll thing glitched and skipped down about half a page, so I read it as “Not a single practical outfit!” “Only the guards have those.” Which was hilarious.
Why do all the people around the castle are either attractive or pretty?! Sheesh
