There’s signs of breakdown in the evil conspiracy! (Not that it was particularly stable at any time. That’s the big problem with evil conspiracies, its members are willing to attack each other.)
Cleo, Cleo, Cleo… who are you waiting for? If you want Hero, it had better be him!
He does have a good point there, while the alternative is riskier and requires more work one should at least explore the alternative just in case. With Sevarian’s entire master plan revolving around forcing Evon into serving him and ending up what amounts to little more than a breeding slave anything happening to her that rendered her no longer a Focus or otherwise useless completely stops his plan because he has no alternatives in place for such contingencies.
Meanwhile the incentive is simply quite the delightful bit of heaven for the eyes, a tastefully sexy delight.
If this guy takes matters into his own hands he’s screwed.
If he doesn’t, he is still screwed, at least by doing his own thing he has a chance of succeeding (and possibly living)
Lord Sevarian may not be best pleased with his apprentice’s attitude…

“She totally showed me up, and I’d prefer to forget about that, so we should focus our efforts elsewhere.” That’s what I’m hearing.
Goodness, Freya has such wonderful ears. You just wanna nibble on ’em. 😀
And argh! That incentive’s worse (better)! XD She may be a total jerk, but she is not hard to look at.
In total agreement about Freya’s ears.
Yay – pretty (amoral) kitty! Nicely done! Also, I’m with mousey – shut it Venir, I don’t want to see you hung for such open treason!
*Ferneris. Ferneris, darn it – I blame the late hour.

People hell bent on power are overrated. I wonder what his plan would be. Using resources to fund orphanages? Using Legune’s labs to cure illnesses?

I would not keep such a lady waiting long, and I would definitely like to think I could give such a lady a reason to wait for me.
