I noticed that too. It’s little details like that that give a touch of realism to the world the artist has created. (Why shave the fur (or hair, for that matter) away from the wounds? SOP of course. It’s to prevent infections by removing a potential growth medium for bacteria.)
According to this article, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iodine it would be possible that this is “Tincture of Iodine”, but it would still take some advanced chemistry to produce it. A more likely scenario is that this is indeed rubbing alcohol with an herbal infusion.
Concerned at least because he (was/is) Hero’s friend, and Hero is harmed by Venir being hurt. (That’s only a little cynical. Yes, it’s not direct concern for Venir, but she does recognize his value no matter how much she personally felt about him.)
I have a sneaking suspicion about who that particular someone would be. ;3 Can’t wait to see Hero’s reaction when he sees her again. I just hope he doesn’t fuck it up by playing aloof again, being all “It was my fault she got hurt” and crap, and if he does I hope he gets snapped out of it pretty quickly.
I thought Venir’s sword strike was more centered in her chest not so high up on her shoulder other shoulder? The surgury shave is a nice touch! I love this comic so glad evon pulled Through!
We dont see where the sword cut deep due to all the blood but it looks like Venir did get the shoulder. The lower parts were affected too but it realy depends on how he hit her and how deep the sword did bite.
Given that her collarbone looks intact it couldnt have been that deep … still a bloody mess.

I suspect that face is a “I never liked that asshole anyway” reaction.
Either that or Hero wouldn’t want anyone else to have to dispatch Venir.

A nice touch indeed. I had brought up that very question under one of the previous pages – and it is nice to see that it was considered.
The only thing i question is the existence of uhhh is it Iodine but then we had the cabal which were more Magotech.
If its just strong rubbing alcohol it will sting just as much.

There were actually a few disinfectants that could be readily made. Ammonia, tincture of lime, distilled spirits, witch hazel infusions, salt water…
