I really hope this is a case of Evon not telling Hero what happened, rather than Hero not mentioning that Evon saved his bacon. As that would reeeally be a loss of brownie points.
That face in the last panel could go either way. Either worry and self-consciousness about what she did, or hurt at his words.
I have to wonder – how much does Hero actually know about what happened? I think he may have been pretty much out of it when Evon… umm… “tended to” the assassins.
Although he doesn’t show it, I thing Hero is feeling guilty about letting Evon down. He feels he should’ve protected her better than that, instead of getting beat by that sword-wielding psycho so easily. And then of course he passed out from lack of blood, leaving Evon to face both attackers alone.
I know Evon feels guilty about all this, but don’t forget Hero is supposed to be guarding her, so he feels responsible for her life; yet he got beat and passed out to leave her alone. I know Evon’s feeling guilty, but I’m willing to bet Hero feels that way too.
Okay guys, I can see how you all could assume that they feels guilty about something, one way or the other. But has anybody ever considered the possibility that she feels left out? I mean here they are, making references to past adventures she was never a part of. Although I will concede that the guilt thing probably does play a part in it. I just can’t help but mention the whole “We’ve been friends long before you” thing.

The page is fuzzy to me I can’t read it
Evon looks distracted 🙁
She doesn’t look distracted. She looks guilty.
She blames herself for him getting hurt
I know she does, hence my comment.
Love the colors in the trees and the water!

judging by the eye roll Evon is kind not liking his company
