And the hand is played. No heart of gold here. :/ Though, there’s a chance for an eleventh-hour redemption, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for that.
In the meantime, things are about to go south. Venir may get told off in short order, may leave in a huff, or at the worst, may just explode into violence, turn on his friend, and try to take Evon.
I hightly doubt Evon’s going to have a lot of misgivings about lighting him on fire.
is it just me, but Hero in panel 2 and 3 is sad 🙁 like he’s dissapointed and sad that Venir is thinking this way. Like he put a lot of faith in Venir then got that faithed squashed when he brought it up. Poor Hero DX

Personally, that’s not the kind of group I would want to be IN and I am sure its not the type Hero would want to be IN either. After all, their kinds of activities are the kinds Hero would likely go against out of hand if her happened upon them by accident let alone actively going out of his way to protect something they want. He is on their shit list, more likely they would kill him than pay him while promising to pay him if even tried to turn her in. That said, he has already passed up the chance to turn her in for gold. I do not think his friend has ever been to his house before. He doesn’t need a huge payout to retire with.
Venir should know that the Cabal can’t be trusted. Even if they actually turn her in, I don’t expect them to receive any gold, especially after the shit Hero got Evon out of… nothing to stop the Cabal actually killing them afterwards anyway.
Hero needs to slap Venir around the face with his sword before Venir does something stupid.
There is the off chance that Venir will just go off in a huff but it’s highly unlikely. Frankly I’d hope that Hero gives him a good kick in the Nutlog, but I doubt he’ll do that. Instead, I’m guessing Venir will either a) end up attacking Hero to try to get at Evon or b), pretend to go away just to go after Evon to claim the reward.
Either way, whatever friendship there was between these two will be over after this. Unless the aforementioned ‘off chance’ happens.
There is the valid concern that if you aren’t with the Cabal, you’re against them, and they are heavy hitters…but, yeah, getting his friend out of the line of fire probably isn’t a primary concern. Maybe not even a secondary…
I wouldn’t be surprised if a certain scimitar were to cut off Venir’s words… But i rather expect Hero to warn him off one final time making it perfectly clear that there will be no turning Evon in – period.
Crap, he is serious about this

I have a huge feeling Hero will Punch him in the face for calling Evon a brat.XD Just a curious feeling. Thumbs up if you agree.
lmao! we can do that here?
*gives thumbs up*
Seems we can.

Yeah well we don’t know Venir’s position. desperation can make us all do stupid things.

In the immortal words of Mortal Komat…
Round One… FIGHT!
Does Venir not know about Hero’s castle?
lol, guess not
it sure looks like Venir has no clue as to Hero’s actual status.. or how much Hero is slumming when he hangs out with Venir..
