So which tree is Evee hiding behind? #ThatEscalatedQuickly
That’s two.
i kind of wonder if being pregnant will affect Evon’s ability to learn to use her powers as a Focus?
Knowing the twists and turns often employed in magic stories, it might actually increase her powers.
…alright, what’s going on here? I can buy these characters subverting my expectations to a certain degree, but this is all going way too smoothly. First Evee outright tells Evon she screwed Hero, only to immediately absolve Hero of guilt by admitting she forced him, followed by encouraging Evon to go after him herself. Then we have Evon throwing herself at Hero, who accepts her advances without even questioning it.
Oh God, please don’t tell me Evon is still sleeping with Hero and Evee and this is all a dream.
This has been building for years. The only real surprise here is Hero didn’t offer up some sort of token resistance for Evon to push through (to show she means it this time).
Evee also kind of cleared the air about that while talking to Evon.
She admitted she essentially forced hero to sleep with her to find her because Evee was his only hope of finding her. That pretty much absolves Hero right there.
Also as Evee pointed out, Evon likely would have jumped Fernie’s bones if the situation were reversed.
I see what you guys are saying, but I think you’re missing my point. Comics like this tend to thrive on unnecessary drama. Ordinarily, in a story like this, Evon would’ve been angry with Hero for several chapters, Hero probably would’ve gone off to do something stupid to prove his love for her, and Evee would’ve likely been reveling in the angst between them and see it as an opportunity to get Hero all for herself. Instead, the story just sidestepped all that drama and had the characters make particularly mature decisions across the board. Events in stories like these almost never run this smoothly. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy if this is the case, but a part of me is suspicious that a shoe is gonna drop.
And if they hadn’t done ALL of that stuff years ago, you’d have a stronger point. This here is Payoff Time.
The lead male and female characters in stories often start off rocky/can’t stand each other only to fall in love then “get busy” later in the story.
We’re on (checks quickly), Chapter 25, page 1013, real-life year 16 of the story. I think the author has shown a heck of a lot of patience to put this development so late in the story.
uhh what about the stew?
Gone the way of the rest of Evon’s campfire cooking.
Unless Evee snuck in and took it off the fire while they were… busy.
*Noms dinner while watching* “Are you two done? Because the stew is.”
Is this the first time for Evon since her tryst with her half-brother? I know I don’t remember seeing her getting it on with anybody else.
Still no sounds of popcorn rustling in the bushes?
What did Evon do to Evee after the ‘talk’?
the mouse is 9yo older then avon
A possible thought I had about all this that I DESPERATELY want to be wrong…
Are we sure that’s Evon, and not Evee pretending to be Evon?
Yep.
Two pages ago, we could clearly see this Evon’s irises were gold, not red.
…oh. I forgot they had different eye colors.
Also, different haircuts: Evee has the short hair
