For some reason, when I saw the final panel, I had a mental image (from a scene in the Disney movie “The Three Musketeers”) of Charlie Sheen and Oliver Platt looking at one another saying “The fool.” at the same time.
Now we get to see why Ferneris holds some of the mightiest villain chops in the cabal. Too bad he’s probably not allowed to kill Maximus without Sevarian’s say-so.
Doesn’t mean he can’t knock the stupid out of him, though! (Or at least try with malicious conviction.)
